I am also encountering same issue as vasanthsp92. The online demos work fine Peter as you point out. However they do not use a jqxAdaptor which has been primed via $.ajax. Mine (and perhaps OP) do and maybe these are the conditions under which the flaw will highlight itself. Ive also had to roll back to v4.0.0 until a fix can be determined.

I believe that jqxgrid sets a positive z-index on cells as they enter edit mode. might jqxgrid have an issue with its baseline z-index if its rendered on top of a jquery-ui dialog Peter? I also cannot type in textboxes when they arrive in edit mode. This could cause a problem for me as Im already using jquery-ui and am attempting to wire jqxgrid alongside existing jquery-ui widgets.

The reason is I need to build up a dynamic linq server side filter expression and the example http://www.jqwidgets.com/jquery-widgets-documentation/documentation/asp.net-integration/asp.net-grid-server-side-filtering.htm appears to only work for string types. An extra parameter “filterdatatype” would allow me to service other data types. Is this currently possible – perhaps by wiring in some call to formatData function on the dataadapter?
