    Hi,

    The demo (http://jsfiddle.net/jqwidgets/XGUrU/) shows how to use val() to get/set element’s value.
    But when I click the [select Government] button in the JSFIDDLE demo page, the item’s label is not changed. I’m wondering whether it is a bug or I haven’t understood this function.

    Hi yuanru,

    If you want to change the the label of some item – use updateItem.
    Look at this demo.
