Updatebounddata clears filters and sorting when virtualmode=false

Hello!

I use
$(“#jqxgrid”).on(“sort”, function (event) {
$(“#jqxgrid”).jqxGrid(‘updatebounddata’);
});
$(“#jqxgrid”).on(“filter”, function (event) {
$(“#jqxgrid”).jqxGrid(‘updatebounddata’);
});
to update data, but when virtualmode=true it works fine and when virtualmode=false it clears filters and sorting. Is it normal behaviour?

Yes, it clears the filtering and sorting. That is by design. “updatebounddata” rebinds the Grid and re-renders it.

Natural question to ask is: then what to use to refresh grid data (fetch data from server) without clearing the filters/sorting?
Could you please point out some jqxgrid method?
