Stacked and Grouped Column – Formatting Questions

I was hoping to format the spacing between columns on my stacked and grouped column chart – but changing the column and series spacing and min/max column size settings does not seem to have any impact on it. It does if I un-stack the columns. Is this supposed to work?

… And to follow up with that.. We wanted to have a legend at the bottom of the chart, but the legend is showing each and every series… I would need it to show perhaps only the first 5 of the series (since each subsequent set of 5 series will be the same color).. And if I could get it to do that, I would need custom labels for those first 5 series … Is this possible?

Hello Macel,

1. The demo Column series Spacing showcases the available options on this matter. Please check it out.
2. Hiding the legend for a particular series is not supported, but there is a workaround, shown in the following topic: http://www.jqwidgets.com/community/topic/in-stacked-chart-hide-legend-if-not-data-for-particular-data/. And you can modify the legend labels with the legendFormatFunction callback, e.g.: http://www.jqwidgets.com/community/topic/pie-chart-label-clutter-and-overlapping-on-each-other-2/#post-67805.
