Select first row after sorting not working in 2.6 version

Hi, in the 2.5.5 version the following code would sort the grid by the Name column and them select the first row after sorting:

$(‘#grid’).jqxGrid(‘sortby’, ‘Name’, ‘asc’);
var id = $(‘#grid’).jqxGrid(‘getrowid’, 0);
$(‘#grid’).jqxGrid(‘selectrow’, id);

In version 2.6, the grid does not select the first row after the sort. The “getrowid” will always return “0”.
Can you tell how can I select the first row after the sort in the 2.6 version?

Hi williamtourinho,

As the ‘selectrow’ method works with a bound index and you want to select the first visible row, we need to get its ‘boundindex’ at first and then pass it to the ‘selectrow’ method.

Example:

var visiblerows = $("#jqxgrid").jqxGrid('getloadedrows');
$("#jqxgrid").jqxGrid('selectrow', visiblerows[0].boundindex);
