$('#mainSplitter').jqxSplitter('hideCollapseButtonAt', 0); does not work

You can test this by modifying your demo in Splitter defaultfunctionality.htm as follows. Observe that the button is not hidden.

$(‘#mainSplitter’).jqxSplitter({ theme: theme, roundedcorners: true, width: 600, height: 600, panels: [{ size: 200, max: 290 }, { size: 400}] });
$(‘#mainSplitter’).jqxSplitter(‘hideCollapseButtonAt’, 0);

Note, I am using release 2.4.2

As a workaround, use the collapsible: false setting.

                 $('#mainSplitter').jqxSplitter({ theme: theme, roundedcorners: true, width: 600, height: 600, panels: [{collapsible: false, size: 200, max: 290 }, { collapsible: false, size: 400}] });
                 $('#contentSplitter').jqxSplitter({ theme: theme, orientation: 'horizontal', panels: [{ size: 400, collapsible: false }, { collapsible: false}] });
