    Hi,

I am new to jqWidgets. I am coming to jqWidgets/jquery from using Infragistics controls ina C# / asp.net environment, using web pages, not MVC.

I am searching high and low to find a working example of a CRUD enabled jqxGrid in this environment. Will someone point me in the right direction?

    Thanks in advance.

    Hi zipzap,

As a start, you can take a look at the ASP .NET Integration help topics: jquery-widgets-documentation.

    Hi, Peter,

    I appreciate your reply.

I have indeed reviewed the ASP integration examples. I ran the example that binds data to the grid in ASP.net. However, there doesn’t appear to be a full CRUD example using ASP.net web pages, as opposed to MVC. Why is this? Are ASP.net web pages not supported? Do I need to use MVC to achieve the full benefits of jqWidgets?

    Hi zipzap,

The fact that we still do not have an example/help topic for CRUD with ASP .NET does not mean that it is not supported. Our product is a JavaScript library + HTML so it should be relatively easy to build CRUD with ASP .NET, but we still do not have the sample. We try to provide create more and more samples and to improve our documentation with every new version. However, we still did not cover all scenarios for the most popular technologies. We will do our best to provide CRUD with ASP .NET sample in a future version. In order to use the widgets in .NET, MVC3 or MVC4 is not something that is required.
