jqGrid: Sorting when a new row is added

Hello,

I am using your jqGrid in an ASP.NET Core project using you tag helpers. I have it adding new rows into the grid but it appends them as the first row in the grid. One of the columns is a “Sort Order” column that is just integers to let users tell me what order to show the rows in. Is there a way to have the grid auto sort by that column whenever a new row is appended to it?

Hi sktocco,

We currently have no such auto-sorting capabilities. The addRow can also be used to append a new row to the bottom of the Grid. You can probably use the ASP .NET Grid’s javascript instance and the sortby method to achieve that.
