How to format date string with format argument

The date string I am getting from the web server comes in the standard below:

2020-08-18T03:01:06.950Z

I have defined the jqxgrid datafields as:

    datafields:
    [
      { name: 'date_joined', type: 'date', format: "yyyy-mm-dd hh:mm:ss" },
    ],

The grid shows the data as:

What format should I choose for the ‘date_joined’ field so grid is able to format it properly and show the date as date:

[jqwidgetuserParticipant]

Solved by implementing the datafields as

    datafields:
    [
      { name: 'date_joined', type: 'date' },
    ]

and then columns as :

  columns: any[] =
  [
    { text: 'Join Date', datafield: 'date_joined', columntype: 'datetimeinput', width: 110, align: 'right', cellsalign: 'right', 
  ];
