Grouping with click on column header

I am wondering if it could be possible to group by simply clicking on the column header. This would group by that column and hide it in the grid. Selecting another column would then group by that column only, hiding it from the grid and showing the previously grouped column again.

Any suggestions as to a method, if this is possible?
