get rowindex when editmode :click and selectionmode: 'singlecell'

Hi,

I am facing strange problem, i am not able to get the selected row index when i set selectionmode: ‘singlecell’, and edit mode : click.

I have put cascading dropdowns on grid, when i put above editmodes, i am able to get the values on cellendedit event.

i have 3 buttons on grid (add,del, save). i want to save the record when user hits save , but i am getting selected row index as “-1”. if i get selected row index , then i can make use of update row function to update records to database.

can u let me know any way to over come this.

Hi lalit singh,

In cell selection mode, you can get the selected cell, not the selected row, because there is no selected row. Example: http://jsfiddle.net/jqwidgets/vFJ35/
