ColumnType checkbox and template

Hi,
the jqxGrid supports column types “checkbox” and “template”. I haven’t found it in the jqxTreeGrid.

There are some promises about considering of scheduling the “checkbox” feature in these old topic (2014 and 2015):

What is the current state, please?

Hi Ales,

We still do not have these features. Usually, all features are demonstrated in the demos so if you cannot find something, then most probably it is not implemented.

Hi Peter,
OK, I understand, but we need to know some details about when do you plan to add these features approximately. We have to make final decision about what component framework to use (and buy a license) in our upcoming project and these features are important to us. Generally speaking we would like to see that jqxGrid and jqxTree are as most similar in features as possible. From the user perspective these components are almost the same and it is hard to explain the user, why he/she cannot do the same thing in the TreeGrid.

Hi Ales,

TreeGrid and Grid are very different widgets with different look. TreeGrid displays a Tree i.e hierarchically, the Grid as a Table. Anyway. These features are not in our recent development plans. We are now focused on Q&A and integrations with various different technologies such as Angular, React, etc and improving our Documentation and Samples. We believe that we already have most of the features people need from UI components.
