    Hi folks,

Liking your widgets and considering using them for a lot of future projects. Everything I’ve tried has worked really well so far except a bug I found in the jqGrid with the range and date filters. Using the demo page here:

    http://www.jqwidgets.com/jquery-widgets-demo/demos/jqxgrid/datefilter.htm

Selecting a date or a range fails to return rows I can see on the screen in my regular browser
    Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux x86_64; rv:32.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/32.0

It also doesn’t work in Seamonkey
    Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux x86_64; rv:24.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/24.0 SeaMonkey/2.21

The strange thing is sometimes in the range filter, selecting a much bigger range that encompasses the dates I want will sometimes show those rows, but the range usually has to encompass the relevant date by +/- 3 days.

Works in my machine in Chrome and Opera (sadly doesn’t work in Konqueror using either WebKit and KHTML engines).

Unfortunately for a project I’d like to work on, being able to select a range filter is necessary and I don’t think I can use it if it doesn’t work in what’s still quite a recent version of Firefox at least.

    Hopefully it’s a quick fix 🙂

    Many thanks,
    Dansunn

    Hello Dansunn,

We tested the range and date selection in the latest version of Firefox (33.0) and everything works as expected. A list of browsers supported by jQWidgets can be found here: http://www.jqwidgets.com/jquery-widgets-documentation/.

    Hi Dimitar,

You seem have to missed the importance of the point I was making; that the date/range filter in the grid doesn’t work in the previous version of Firefox, 32 (on Linux at least, and I don’t know about other platforms).

I can see the list of supported browsers and for what is a relatively important filter I think support needs to extend back before just the single very latest Firefox, 33. Not everybody always uses the very latest version on Firefox, and lots are still using FF32 which the date/range filter doesn’t work with.

Unfortunately if this feature is buggy and doesn’t work in at least the versions of Firefox since 2013 it is very difficult to justify using jqWidgets 🙁

    Thanks,
    Dansunn

    Hey dansunn,

The feature is not buggy and works as expected with the current version of jQWidgets. I would suggest you to check whether you use the same and upgrade if not. The range filter for 1 day is a filter applied from the day’s start to day’s end. The feature is not related to any Web Browser and it does not matter whether it is IE7, FireFox or something else.

Sorry but if you re-read my post correctly I have already disproven what you’ve just said. These screenshots came from your own website demo and it only fails in Firefox 32.

It is buggy and as per the screenshots clearly does not work as expected. The bug is consistently reproducible.

    Regards,
    Dansunn
