adding row as child of another row

When I add a row to another row as a child, the row is added fine where it is supposed to go, but it is also added to the end of the table. Looking at the regular api documentation it does not show the usage as accepting the parent row but on this page it does: http://www.jqwidgets.com/jquery-widgets-documentation/documentation/jqxtreegrid/jquery-treegrid-data-editing.htm

Is this feature something that is still being debugged? Also is there a way or any plans to do an updateRow and change the parent?

Hi kaos057,

If you experience some issue, then please prepare and share a sample which demonstrates it. “updateRow” updates a specific row by its key. That is how it works and will work in the future as well.

Change the button click to this:

$('#jqxbutton').click(function () {
    $("#treeGrid").jqxTreeGrid('addRow', null, {
        FirstName: "Name",
        LastName: "Last Name"
    }, 'first', "2")
});

Then click add row. It adds it where its supposed to but it also adds it to the end of the table (show 20 rows to see it better)

Hi kaos057,

I think the problem here is the “first” parameter. You can use “last” instead.
