3d effect in column chart

Hi all,

in the example “javascript_chart_line_series.htm” I have replaced the following line:
type: ‘line’
with
type: ‘column’

As you can see in the following link I have a 3d effect.
Is it possible to avoid this 3d effect ?

Hi Miche,

For your use case maybe it will be better to set the type to ‘area’ like so:

  seriesGroups:
                    [
                        {
                            type: 'area',
                            series: [
                                    { dataField: 'S&P 500', displayText: 'S&P 500' },
                                    { dataField: 'NASDAQ', displayText: 'NASDAQ' }
                                ]
                        }
                    ]

thanks for your reply.
The problem is that with “area” I do not see the vertical lines.

In the meantime I have found the following solution:

formatFunction: function (value) {
   var day   = value.getDate();
   var month = value.getMonth();

   if (day == 1) {
      return "1 " + months;
   }
},
baseUnit: 'day',
type: 'column',
