Hi

I am having an issue with auto rowheight true and applying wordwrap to a long string.I cannot vertically align data centrally.Is there a way to do this.I am using

var sequencerenderer1 = function (row, column, value) {
return ‘‘+value+’‘;
}

for doing wordwrap

Can I add my comment to this.

I would just like to be able to vertically align data in a Grid cell as a general rule but can find no way of doing it. My suggestion would be to add a “cellsverticalalign” as well as the existing “cellsalign”. In addition, “cellsalign” does not appear to be documented in the Grid API.

We know that “vertical-align” as a CSS item has no effect. as at this moment, it needs to be written into grid.js as an option in the TD but I cannot see where the TD of a grid row is generated (if at all).

Hi webcliq,

cellsalign is documented in the API – check the columns documentation in the API. In addition, cells are always vertically aligned in the middle in the latest version. For custom rendering, see this help topic: jquery-grid-cellsrendering.htm. In addition, “autorowheight” is alread supported – see the Auto Row Height sample in the Grid’s samples section.

With autorowheight set to true vertical alignmant doesn’t work for a checkbox column…It is not vertically aligned and shifts to the bottom of the cell and doesn’t show up properly.Also autorow height doesnt work on comma separated strings.I had to separate strings by spaces to get it to work

Hi shivanidixit,

The issue with the “checkbox” column is already fixed in jQWidgets 2.7. For wordwrap, we set the cell’s whitespace to “normal”, so that should be the default behavior about how wrapping works.
